Carrick Rangers suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Glentoran in the Northern Irish Premiership on Saturday. The visitors were undone by second-half goals from A. Mitchell and C. Allen.

Glentoran broke the deadlock in the 68th minute through Mitchell's strike. Carrick's resistance was finally broken with six minutes of normal time remaining when Allen sealed the points for the hosts.
